Artifact Refiners are skilled in the Dao of Artifact Refining, and are likewise responsible for making, upgrading, and fixing the various Artifacts that are used in the various worlds of Martial Peak.
Artifact Refiner grading follows the same pattern as the Grading System.

Artifacts can be created and used for a variety of purposes, including Attacking, Defending, Environment-manipulation, Qi Gathering, Puppets, Flight Artifacts for traveling the Starry Sky or Star Boundary, and etc. Of course, the higher the Grade of an Artifact, the more skill that is generally required to use and/or the more powerful opponents they are effective on.

Ancient Exotic Artifacts[]
These treasures are not artificially refined, and were born from the world itself.[1] As such, they usually possess a unique and desolate aura.

Artifact Spirits[]
Artifact Spirits are rare existences that, with a great amount of luck, may naturally form from an Artifact through a series of unspecified chance occurrences. It is said that all natural Artifact Spirits take at least a thousand years to form and generally require extremely harsh conditions in order to do so.[3] Once an Artifact gains an Artifact Spirit, the prestige it can display increases dramatically. Due to this, Artifact Spirits are often highly coveted by Artifact Refiners and cultivators alike.
Some cultivators try to artificially create Artifact Spirits using extracted Monster Beast Souls.[4] However, this extremely cruel and bloody method requires a great deal of resources and is rarely ever successful, and, even when it is successful, the prestige an artificially formed Artifact Spirit can display is generally far less than that of a natural Artifact Spirit. As such, this method is usually only practiced by Evil Cultivators.

Outer Universe Artifact Refining Titles[]
Open Heaven Grade Artifact Refiners get different titles according to different qualifications. The 3 known titles are Great Master, Grandmaster, and Great Grandmaster. Though there is no true division rank, this system is universally recognized.
- Great Master - these Artifact Refiners can refine up to Middle Rank Open Heaven Grade Artifacts.
- Grandmaster - this is an Artifact Refiner that can refine a High Rank Open Heaven Grade Artifact.
- Great Grandmaster: this describes an at least 8th Rank Open Heaven Stage Artifact Refiner whose Grand Dao attainments on Artifact Refining are at least in the 7th Layer.[6][7][8]
