Dai Yuan is the Core Disciple of Colored Glass Sect who fortuitously comes to spark a friendship with Yang Kai in the Flowing Flame Sand Field.

Flowing Flame Sand Field[]
Once a disciple of the Colored Glass Sect, and the Senior Sister of Yin Su Die, Dai Yuan would first meet and befriend Yang Kai in the Flowing Flame Sand Field, where he saved her life from a Heaven Battling Union cultivator.[2] Carrying a notoriously hideous appearance due to the backlash of the Secret Art she practiced, Dai Yuan was frequently shunned and insulted by friends and enemies alike. However, after following Yang Kai alongside Dong Xuan'er and Wei Gu Chang into the 4th Layer of the Flowing Flame Sand Field, Dai Yuan would acquire one of the ingredients necessary to heal her disfigured visage.
Healing[]
Back in Dragon Cave Mountain, Dai Yuan comes to visit Yang Kai in order to ask for his assistance in curing her ailment. Yang Kai agrees to do so, and accompanies Dai Yuan back to Colored Glass Sect. While Yang Kai is helping her to rid herself of her affliction, Dai Yuan pretends not to notice his ulterior motives involving the Stone Puppet Xiao Xiao. Once a grateful Dai Yuan's ailment is cured, she quickly sees Yang Kai off from the now chaotic Colored Glass Sect, whose Colored Glass Mountain seems to have been mysteriously tampered with. Despite the fact that she now possesses a beautiful true appearance, Dai Yuan chooses to disguise herself with her hideous visage for the time being.
Kind to his Friends[]
Later, when the Corpse Spirit Race wages war on Shadowed Star, Colored Glass Sect stands by as some of the other top Sects force High Heaven Sect's members to retreat deeper into the Flowing Flame Sand Field despite having been given asylum by them. Dai Yuan follows Ye Xi Yun and the other High Heaven Sect members during these events. After an infuriated Yang Kai brutally wipes out 3 of the ring-leading Sects for their transgressions, Colored Glass Sect is spared in large part due to his friendship with Dai Yuan, causing Dai Yuan's Master, Gong Ao Fu, to look upon her with a new found brilliance. Colored Glass Sect is then absorbed into High Heaven Sect[3], and Dai Yuan replaces Yin Su Die as its most treasured former disciple.[4]
Fate[]
Decades later, it is unknown whether Dai Yuan followed Yang Kai back to High Heaven Palace in Star Boundary.
