Hello All! Welcome to the Martial Peak (MP) Wiki. Everyday our wiki is growing, and it is the community's members that make this all possible. In order to maintain the standards we've set on the Martial Peak Wiki, we have decided to create a list of Policies to guide you as you navigate the wiki.

Our primary objective is for Martial Peak Wiki readers to enjoy their time on the wiki, and to feel free to edit and improve articles in a safe and respectful environment. As is the case in most of the different wiki communities, some Policies may be unique to the Martial Peak Wiki.

Please remember to be respectful, avoid violating Policies, and to always edit in good faith. All edits on this wiki will be monitored to ensure that they are in line with Policy. Depending on the severity, one time or persistent violations of Policy may result in appropriately timed blocks.

The following is a list of Martial Peak Wiki Policies:

Editing Policies

Good Faith

It is our mission to assume good faith and respect from all users of the Martial Peak Wiki. Assume and show good faith and respect to other users and admins around the wiki. If one of your edits is reverted and you feel it was needed, please respectfully approach one of our admins for help. In the same way, please notify an admin if you find the wiki has been vandalized by another user.

Organization

Fully-organized and standardized content makes reading articles easier to enjoy for everyone. As articles make up the bulk of the wiki content, it is important to make sure that they are as consistently organized as possible. Please look at established pages for a guide on how particular pages are structured. If you have any questions, feel free to contact one of our active admins.

Language

The Martial Peak Wiki is primarily an English wiki, and all edits must be made using English. Users who speak English as a secondary language and/or those who need help in editing in English can contact our admins or fellow users to notify them of incoming edits so that any spelling or grammatical mistakes can be remedied.

Information

In order to keep the Martial Peak Wiki as accurate as possible, we ask that readers keep pages strictly inclusive to referenced material from the original Web Novel, Divine Dao Library's translation, or the Manhua, with the original Web Novel taking the highest precedence.

Rumors and theories should NOT be added to any articles. Only explicitly confirmed information should be added to articles and referenced with an official source (listed above). If you are unable to find an official source, please refrain from putting or changing information on an article before being sure that the information is accurate.

Please be aware that all edits are supervised.

Stubs

A great way to start contributing to the wiki is to help developing articles that are stubs. These are articles that contain scant or very little information. Stubs can be found in the "Stub" category. If you see a blank article, please add the Stub category to that article unless you plan on filling it out so that it can be seen and addressed.

Images

Please keep images posted on articles limited to official sources (i.e. from the author, manhua, etc.). If you are unsure if a source is official, please do not post it on the article. Fan art and other images can be added to the Wiki's gallery for reference and consideration by admins as long as they are not blatantly copyrighted material. As with anything, please contact one of our admins if you have questions about a particular image.

Note: The Martial Peak manhua is the most official and safest source of images for characters. Other images, like those selected from the baike.baidu site, are often description images from other sources that admins select from after careful scrutiny to post on pages. Please keep this in mind when uploading images. At the same time, this means that fan art matching character descriptions can be considered for articles.

New Pages

Pages are the main attraction for most wikis, and while we appreciate all contributions, it is important for them to hold a significant amount of information to warrant their creation. Therefore, when creating a page, please make sure you add content to it. A blank page doesn't help anyone or provide information, and a wiki is intended to be a source of information.

Translation/Terminology

As a community, we have decided to use Divine Dao Library's translation as the basis for all parts of the novel that they've covered. For the untranslated portion of the novel, LNMTL is the basis for the terminology, with exceptions made to both of these sources on a case-by-case basis through the approval of admins.

Please keep terminology in line as much as possible with these sources. If something is consistently translated a certain way on a page or on most pages, please keep in line with the way that particular term is translated.

If you have a suggestion or question about a translated term or exception, please contact one of our active admins to discuss it.

Speculation and Assumptions

Posting guesswork, theories, or headcanon through unconfirmed speculation is not tolerated on articles. We have worked hard to ensure that the Martial Peak Wiki is solidly based in defined facts. There should be no guesswork involved when recounting the events that actually happen in a story or relationships among different characters.

Speculations and other unknowns are okay to have, and can be added in comments for discussion. Though some theories may be very interesting and sometimes even plausible, they cannot be displayed alongside things that are factual, as it can become difficult for readers to determine what is fact and what is just a particular reader's opinion.

Remember, all readers have a right to interpret nonconfirmed information on their own. This goes for unspecified cultivation levels, character ages, material ranks, and etc. For example: ages for characters that are not explicitly stated are given a starting age + for the farthest known event that they were present for, and these ages are not updated with time.

Social Activity

Comments, Message Walls, and Blogs are where you are free to express your opinions, theories, fan-fiction, or just ask questions. Basically, have fun! However, in order to maintain a safe environment, we have a few comment section rules:

  • Be respectful of others and their opinions.
  • No harassment/personal attacks.
  • No repetitive or persistent posting of external links.
  • No repetitive or persistent reposting of the same comment.
  • No advertising for other websites. In the same vein, please do not copy/paste articles from other websites in the comments.
  • No nonconstructive/derogatory comments that contribute nothing to discussion. Ex: cussing out the author, the novel, other users or etc.

References

Please use the template { { Ref | chapter # } } (no spaces) in source mode for references. This allows them to be easily changed if necessary.

Please make sure references coincide with DDL’s translation and the original web novel for all other chapters. Original web novel chapter numbers can be found on Qidian, the official publishing site for the novel.

Blocking

Below is a list of behaviors that will automatically result in a block:

  • Persistent personal attacks.
  • Persistent vandalism (blatant vandalism, such as removing the content from a page or removing accurate references, will result in a block on the first offense)
  • Persistent harassment or intimidating behavior.
  • Persistently violating/disregarding other policies or guidelines.
  • Persistently violating comment section rules (i.e. spamming external links, advertising, the same comment, or nonconstructive, derogatory comments).
  • Accounts with inappropriate usernames.
  • Inserting false information.
  • Abusing anonymous/multiple accounts(ex: making or using other accounts, avoiding blocks, impersonating or pretending to be another person, i.e. sock puppet accounts)
