Meng Wu Ya is the first master of Xia Ning Chang. He serves as the Treasurer of High Heaven Pavilion when Yang Kai's is still a Trial Disciple.

Meng Wu Ya is described as a harmless looking old man who looks about 50 years of age with thinning white hair.[3]
Personality[]
Initially viewed as lecherous old man, Meng Wu Ya’s true personality is that of the proud and confident former 1st ranked human cultivator of Tong Xuan Realm.
Background[]
With a 3rd Order Saint Realm cultivation level, Meng Wu Ya was once recognized as the strongest human cultivator in Tong Xuan Realm. This made him widely respected and feared among all 3 of its races. He had contacts and relations with all the top forces and influences of Tong Xuan Realm.
Past[]
Infuriated by Demon Commander Zhang Yuan, the hot-blooded Meng Wu Ya boldly charged all alone into the Demon Capital City in the past to challenge him to a one on one duel. However, Zhang Yuan had no intention of facing humanity’s strongest alone and set up a hidden Formation trap under the Demon Capital. Surrounded, Meng Wu Ya was then caught in the Formation, causing his cultivation to be subsequently sealed by the Mysterious Heavenly Seal Technique for 3 months to the tremendously weaker Immortal Ascension Boundary 9th Stage.
However, he then somehow managed to escape the subsequent pursuit of his enemies and was forced to flee through a Void Corridor to a lower world, where he ended up in an area that would become known as Abandoned Earth. Meng Wu Ya left behind some devastating techniques there to both protect his escape and prevent anyone from nosing around the Void Tunnel.
Eventually he ended up at High Heaven Pavilion, where he would befriend Ling Tai Xu and later accept Xia Ning Chang as a disciple.
History[]
High Heaven Pavilion[]
Meng Wu Ya first meets Yang Kai while the latter is just a pitiful Trial Disciple of High Heaven Pavilion. Feeling sorry for the boy, he tries many times to convince him on giving up on cultivation, but he is always unsuccessful. However, over time, Yang Kai suddenly starts making tremendous improvements in this endeavor, making Meng Wu Ya rightly suspicious that he has come across some incredible chance.[4]
Meng Wu Ya first collaborates with Yang Kai on a mission to catch some Nine Yin Dew Crystals for Xia Ning Chang to safely promote to the True Element Boundary.[5] Meng Wu Ya didn’t quite like how close his apprentice was getting to Yang Kai, but he couldn’t do much to stop it. Later, when Meng Wu Ya learns that Xia Ning Chang came under the assault of the Blood Battle Group, he furiously storms their altar and prepares to teach their meager Immortal Ascension Boundary Elders a harsh lesson before he inadvertently discovers the Cave of Inheritance.
Later, Meng Wu Ya and Ling Tai Xu discover Old Demon hiding out on Yang Kai. Initially planning to destroy him, Meng Wu Ya is subsequently convinced by Yang Kai that Old Demon is actually very helpful, and that Yang Kai has him firmly under his control. When High Heaven Pavilion is later destroyed, Meng Wu Ya turns out to have already taken Xia Ning Chang along with him on his travels.
Inheritance War[]
During the Yang Family Inheritance War, Meng Wu Ya ends up greatly assisting Yang Kai after the Eight Great Families turn against him, and he serves as the biggest deterrent to their strongest powerhouses. When Yang Bai arrives and interrupts this dispute with his own invasion force, Meng Wu Ya uses a Saint Grade Palace Artifact to protect Yang Kai and his forces. Sure enough, Yang Bai’s 3rd Order Transcendent Realm cultivation proves insufficient to penetrate the defenses of this Artifact.
In the final battle against Yang Bai, Meng Wu Ya unlocks enough of his cultivation seal to display a 2nd Order Transcendent Realm cultivation level after Yang Bai is restrained by Yang Kai. Seeing the hopelessness of the situation, Yang Bai decides to self-destruct. Meng Wu Ya then quickly flees into the nearby Void Corridor with Su Yan and Xia Ning Chang and successfully makes it to Tong Xuan before it collapses.
Giant Formation[]
Back in Tong Xuan Realm for the first time in many decades, Meng Wu Ya travels around with Xia Ning Chang and visits various influences and people. These places and people include Soaring Heaven Sect, Ice Sect (where he dropped of Su Yan), the Old Man of Heaven’s Keep, and the Holy Master of Nine Heavens Holy Land. After visiting Nine Heavens Holy Land, Meng Wu Ya proceeds to investigate a Secret Boundary through a Void Corridor, and ends up caught in a helpless situation after activating a giant Spirit Array made of columns with the words “TONG XUAN” engraved on them. Meng Wu Ya suffers constant draining of his energy by this Array as Xia Ning Chang helplessly watches him be eroded to skin and bones. However, Yang Kai eventually and surprisingly shows up to rescues Meng Wu Ya and Xia Ning Chang from this predicament
Now free, Meng Wu Ya is miraculously healed to full 3rd Order Saint Realm strength by Yang Kai, and is surprised to learn how much power and influence the new Holy Master has gained in such a short amount of time in this world. Later, he follows and guards Yang Kai during his trip to the Demon Capital in order to view the ancient secrets of the Great Demon God. From this experience, they learn both the ancient history of Tong Xuan Realm's 1st cultivator and of the devastating threat of the Bone Race. Meng Wu Ya subsequently participates in the war against the Bone Race, where Yang Kai eventually leads the 3 Race Alliance of Tong Xuan Realm to victory. After the war, Meng Wu Ya finally accepts Yang Kai and Xia Ning Chang as a couple, and he promptly sees Yang Kai off as he departs for the Starry Sky.
Higher Worlds[]
As a 2nd Order Origin Returning Realm master, Yang Kai eventually returns to Tong Xuan Realm from Shadowed Star, and finds that Meng Wu Ya is concerned over the condition of Xia Ning Chang. Upon seeing her, Yang Kai finds that Xia Ning Chang has strangely reached the 2nd Order Saint King Realm. After further investigation, Yang Kai helps Xia Ning Chang to become the Star Master of Tong Xuan Realm in order to solve this problem. A relieved Meng Wu Ya then follows Yang Kai along with the rest of the latter's friends and family as they travel to High Heaven Sect on Shadowed Star.
High Heaven Palace[]
Over 30 years later, Yang Kai, as a 1st Order Emperor, returns from Star Boundary to High Heaven Sect in order to collect his friends and family and bring them back to his High Heaven Palace. Meng Wu Ya is part of this group. Later, Meng Wu Ya is among those who promote to the Dao Source Realm during the Demon War of Star Boundary, and he is later respectfully welcomed as an elder by Yang Kai after the latter returns to Star Boundary from Demon Realm.[2] Meng Wu Ya then happily watches as Yang Kai's reputation is restored as a Army Commander of Star Boundary's forces by the Great Emperors of Star Boundary. It is presumed that he is still a member of High Heaven Palace.
