Qian Tong is the Great Elder of Shadowed Star's Shadow Moon Hall that befriends Yang Kai due to the latter’s impressive visits to Heavenly Fate City.

Qian Tong is described as heavy set old man that seems harmless to humans and animals alike. He also usually maintains a reserved aura.
Personality[]
Qian Tong has a very fore-thinking, opportunistic, and even somewhat righteous personality. He is not afraid to take risks, and has shown to abide a strong set of principles.
Background[]
Due the imperfection in Shadowed Star’s World Principles, Qian Tong was, just like all its 3rd Order Origin Returning Realm masters, unable to practice past the Origin Returning Realm Peak. When Shadow Moon Hall was split into two factions, Qian Tong and its dying Artifact Refining Grandmaster would spearhead one while the other was lead by Great Elder Feng Zhen alongside the nefarious, power-hungry, and greedy Xie Family.
After the elimination of a significant amount of the opposing faction at the hands of Yang Kai and the Lu Ye, in addition to his promotion to the Origin King Realm, Qian Tong eventually becomes the new leader of Shadow Moon Hall. In this role, he is initially one of the strongest allies of the extremely powerful and fast growing High Heaven Sect.
History[]
Artifact Refining Grandmaster[]
Qian Tong would first take notice of Yang Kai as the latter made numerous business dealings in the Shadow Moon Hall owned shops of Heavenly Fate City. Eventually deducing that he must be the disciple of an Artifact Refining Grandmaster, Qian Tong would make numerous attempts to befriend him with the hopes of one day replacing Shadow Moon Hall’s current Grandmaster, so as not to weaken his faction’s influence in the Sect.
During his befriending of Yang Kai, which included attending an auction, exchanging high quality materials for Artifacts, and helping Yang Kai to defend Dragon Cave Mountain from the local Hai Ke family and Shadow Moon Hall’s other factions, Qian Tong would eventually provide Yang Kai with a spot in the Flowing Flame Sand Field on Shadowed Star. This would only further solidify relations between the two, as Yang Kai also developed a sort of friendship with Qian Tong’s two disciples in Wei Gu Chang and Dong Xuan'er.
Fallen Emperor Mountain[]
Later, Qian Tong gets into trouble while exploring Fallen Emperor Mountain, and his friend, Heavenly Fate City Master Fei Zhi Tu, enlists the help of the 3rd Order Saint King Realm Yang Kai in order rescue him. Eventually, Yang Kai and Fei Zhi Tu indeed manage to rescue Qian Tong, but they also end up awakening the legendary Emperor Garden.
Promotion to Origin King[]
Due to his loyalty and friendship, Qian Tong is eventually rewarded with a ride on the newly founded High Heaven Sect’s Origin King Grade Starship. This would provide Qian Tong, along with most of the Peak 3rd Order Origin Returning Realm Elders of High Heaven Sect, the opportunity to leave Shadowed Star, and potentially make a breakthrough to the Origin King Realm.
After attending the Blood Prison Trial on Green Mountains Star, in which the 2nd Order Origin Returning Realm Yang Kai again helps him to obtain numerous extraordinary benefits, Qian Tong gets the sensation that he needs to breakthrough. However, the World Energy in the area he needs to breakthrough is too thin for his promotion needs, and Yang Kai again comes to the rescue with about 30,000,000 Saint Crystals, in addition to a bottle of Medicine Liquid.[3]
When Qian Tong’s breakthrough seems to take a turn for the worse, he takes the Life Revitalizing Jade Cream that Yang Kai gave him, causing his aura to rapidly shoot up. Qian Tong then successfully makes a breakthrough to the 1st Order Origin King Realm[2], and is eternally grateful to Yang Kai once again. However, the celebration would be short-lived, as Yang Kai has to take Qian Tong and the others into his Sealed World Bead in order to escape the pursuit of Green Mountain Star’s 2nd Order Origin King Realm Star Master, Luo Hai.[4] Before this occurred, Qian Tong did his best to ward off the 2nd Order Origin King Realm Star Master for Yang Kai, and was shocked to learn how powerless he actually was before the former.
Corpse War[]
After eventually returning to Shadowed Star, Qian Tong and Yang Kai find it under the assault of the Corpse Spirit Race. After saving Shadow Moon Hall from the clutches of another evil and possessed member of the Xie Family, Qian Tong and Yang Kai eventually track down the leader of the Corpse Spirit Race, Lu Ye. Though Qian Tong and Yang Kai manage to corner him, Lu Ye uses a powerful Divine Soul Artifact to escape their grasp, and eventually occupies a new body. This cycle would continue over and over, making Qian Tong’s Origin King Realm cultivation pointless. However, Lu Ye, now revealed to actually be the Insect Emperor, is eventually killed by Yang Kai as Shadowed Star’s Star Master.
The next trial Qian Tong faces is the rejection of Shadowed Star’s World Principles whenever he tries to cultivate, forcing him to consider whether he needs to leave the Cultivation Star. However, this problem is later solved when Yang Kai himself promotes to the Origin King Realm and fixes Shadowed Star’s damaged World Principles.[5]
